The Oknha Mong Port (OMP), was the first Private
Investment Sea Port in the Kingdom of Cambodia, it is located in Keo
Phos village, Chroy Svay commune, Sre Ambil district, Koh Kong province. It
consists of 64 ha of land. Construction started on January 01st,
2003. OMP is also the most important economic outlet and the future core of
commercial, industrial and tourism development.
The OMP commenced operation in August 01st,
2004.
In the first step, the port concrete was
constructed with 309m long 20m wide and 5m depth along 1,700m pier.
In the second step, OMP plans extend the port with 200m long, 20m wide and
7m depth. The company expects this project will be completed not longer than
24 months. The new port will then be available for international big vessels
with a loading capacity of more than 5,000 tons.
